Waste Centre Aarhus is one of the most modern and environmentally safe waste-incineration plants in the world.

It is situated in Aarhus (the second largest city in
Denmark) and every hour, every day, it turns 31 tonnes of waste into energy i.e. electricity and heat.

The yearly heat production is approx. 500,000 MWh and the electricity production roughly 140,000 MWh. 

Visitors will get an in-dept introduction to the municipal waste management system in Aarhus. In addition to this, they will get an on-site guided tour of the plant, where they will see the combustion and flue gas cleaning
processes plus the energy production.
