Visit a Danish Wind Turbine Test Site
Green Belt Denmark will give you the chance to visit Risoe’s test station for large wind turbines. The test station is situated on the west coast of Jutland where it is always windy.
Here, turbines with a capacity of up to 8 mega-watt are tested to verify both their performance and the design bases for all operating conditions relevant to large wind turbines.
Visitors will get and on-site guided tour of the premises and get an in-dept introduction to wind energy from an unbiased expert from Energy Service Denmark.
Tuesday, January 19 2010
Denmark is the undisputed leader in wind energy - a fact that is visually demonstrated by the vast number of wind turbines that dot the Danish countryside like gigantic pinwheels
Approximately three-quarters of the on-shore turbines in Denmark are located in, or very close to, the Green Belt Area
