Hydrogen and fuel cell technologies have the potential to solve several major environmental challenges facing us today, for instance our dependency on fossil fuels, air pollution, rising global CO2 emissions et cetera, and could be a key element in meeting the energy needs of tomorrow.

Green Belt Denmark will give you the chance to visit The Hydrogen Innovation & Research Centre in Herning - a regional knowledge centre for hydrogen technology.

HIRC’s aim is to foster commercialization of hydrogen technology and the centre houses a Hydrogen Demonstratorium (a showroom for hydrogen and fuel cells products).

Here visitors can see and learn more about existing hydrogen products. In addition to the on-site guided tour of the Demonstratorium, visitors also get the chance to hear about the H2PIA project.

H2PIA is a vision for the hydrogen society of the future, where energy, in the form of hydrogen, has replaced fossil fuels and is produced and stored by all individuals.
